The article about trademarks was removed by IssueWire immediately after they reviewed the fact that source Butch Conz had no evidence to support the claims published. VFAF, on the other hand, provided documentation proving that the article was false and defamatory.

On July 10, 2024, Butch Conz published a fake news article through IssueWire, falsely claiming that Stan Fitzgerald and Veterans for America First (VFAF) were defrauding people by soliciting donations using the Trump name. In reality, VFAF has never accepted donations during the time Stan Fitzgerald served on its honorary board. In fact, Fitzgerald made it a condition of his honorary involvement at VFAF.ORG because he questioned their book keeping and self funded all operations— This was agreed upon with Vlad Lemets and Josh Macias in writing—that the organization would not engage in fundraising. These written proofs will be exhibits at a forthcoming civil litigation.
Contrary to the false narrative promoted by Angie Wong, Eileen Conz, Butch Conz, Debbie Dooley, and Bill Simon, the facts have always been publicly documented on official websites and in press releases. Angie Wong herself initially proposed that Veterans for America First (VFAF) sell "Trump Wine" under the organization’s brand and suggested applying for a trademark. A trademark was later granted—not for the Trump name, but for a logo.
The organization ultimately declined to use the Trump name as Wong requested and instead explored selling merchandise on Amazon. However, enforcing trademark protections for the logo alone proved to be cost-prohibitive, and the effort was abandoned.
