As a legislator, Frederick authored critical legislation to expand officer training and establish vital peace-officer wellness programs, recognizing that our heroes in uniform deserve the support they need to stay sharp, healthy, and mission-ready. He also co-authored measures to rein in rogue prosecutors who selectively enforce the law, ensuring justice is fair, consistent, and applied equally to all Texans.
During his time in the Texas House, Frederick stood shoulder-to-shoulder with colleagues to champion teachers and students, back law enforcement and first responders, secure the Texas border, and deliver the largest property tax relief in Texas history—putting more money back in Texans’ pockets where it belongs.
Before entering public service, Frederick served 17 years as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal, confronting violent criminals head-on and working alongside federal partners to safeguard our neighborhoods. His courage and dedication earned him recognition twice as one of America’s Top Cops, one of the most prestigious honors in law enforcement.
Frederick understands that the front lines aren’t just overseas or in distant cities—they’re right here at home. That’s why he has fought for the families of our fallen heroes, advancing legislation to honor and support Gold Star Mothers, who bear the heaviest sacrifice of all.
